Venezuelan singer, born in Altagracia de Orituco. Winner of several national festivals, has a musical approach which combines youthful voice with traditional instruments (harp, four and maracas) and some new elements into the traditional pattern of llanera music. Very influenced by the music of Luis Silva, Ignacio Rondón and recently Rafael "El Pollo" Brito, Gerardo Valentín made his first album of the composer and harpist Carlos Meza Ronald Salazar. In this album, participated Wilmer also Montilla, Carlos Perez, Roberto Betancourt, Geber and Jesus Fernandez Sarabia.
Gerardo Valentin began his musical career in the White Voices Elisa Soteldo, participating in radio and TV programs, and business celebrities, led among others by Ilan Chester. Along with his university studies in the area of \u200b\u200bchemistry, began his tour of music festivals in Venezuela. Among the festivals where Gerardo Valentin received honors are:
Voice 1st Place IUTEISTA (1997), winner of the National Singing Biennale Magdalena Sánchez (2001), 2nd Place in the Urban Voice UCV Engineering (2001), 1st Place Traditional Voice UCV Engineering (2002), Special Mention Voz Universitaria UCV ( 2002), 1st Place National Singing Competition Fundación Vicente Emilio Sojo (2006), Representative of Venezuela in the III and IV International Festival of Boleros (2006, 2007).
Gerardo has sung with the melody and many other orchestras in Caracas nightlife. He formed his own band called Tumbao Jam, with various events which encouraged adjacent to large groups such as Guaco, La Dimension Latina, Roberto Antonio and other orchestras.
are three musical productions performed: Solo Boleros (2006), VENEZUELA IS MY PLACE (Venezuelan Music, 2007) and HAPPINESS FAITH AND HOPE (ballad-pop, 2009) produced by renowned music producer Victor Castillo.
